Anna-Sophia grew up in an international family and has always been captivated by traditions from her own cultures, and folklore from around the world. She graduated from Rose Bruford Drama School in 2014 with a BA (hons) in European Theatre Arts.

Anna-Sophia first visited Bulgaria in 2018 to study singing with prominent Trakia singer, Maria Koleva. She started tuition with Gergana Dimitrova in 2021, performing with Nusha Choir directed by Neli Andreeva, and Chemerika Choir directed by Sofia Yaneva since 2022.

She has competed in five national contests for Bulgarian Folklore singing, winning Gold at “Orfeevo Izvorche”, Stara Zagora in 2023, Silver at “Pilence Pee”, Sofia in 2022 and 2024, Silver at “Put Kum Slavata” Sofia in 2024, and Bronze at “The Sound of Time”, Veliko Turnovo in 2023.

Anna-Sophia works as a creative facilitator for Compass Collective, a charity supporting the integration of young refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK through the arts.
